Now, they have become a part of Scottish fashion and style. They are usually made of pure, premium wool tartan. Each tartan is associated with a specific clan. A kilt typically consists of 8 yards of tartan fabric, pleated at the back and sides, and flat at the front. Kilts are decorated with leather straps and buckles.
